Chief Communications Director

Robert brings a board-level perspective to RMC’s leadership team, supporting how the firm communicates its thinking, values and advice to clients. With over 35 years’ experience in senior leadership roles, he works behind the scenes to strengthen clarity, governance and trust across client relationships. His role complements RMC’s hands-on, relationship-driven approach, ensuring clients receive confident, well-considered support as their businesses grow.

Jo Gogu

Account Manager

Jo Gogu plays a key role in managing client relationships and ensuring that every RMC Accountants engagement runs smoothly from start to finish. She coordinates day-to-day communications, supports clients with their bookkeeping and compliance queries, and ensures that deadlines are consistently met.

Known for her meticulous approach and clear communication style, Jo provides the reassurance that clients value when navigating complex accounting matters. She works closely with the RMC team to maintain the firm’s commitment to reliable, transparent, and proactive service.

Outside of work, Jo enjoys continuous learning and professional development, reflecting RMC’s ethos of growth and excellence in everything we do.

Alex Shaw

Account Manager

Alex is part of our accounts team, helping clients with compliance, bookkeeping, and payroll. He enjoys getting into the detail and making sure everything runs smoothly. Alex is building his knowledge and experience as he works towards becoming a fully qualified accountant.

Maria Polakowa

Maria plays a key role at RMC Accountants, ensuring our firm operates to the highest standards of integrity and regulatory compliance. She specialises in Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Know Your Client (KYC), and Client Due Diligence (CDD), helping to protect both our clients and the firm from financial crime risks.

With a keen interest in digitalisation, cybersecurity, and emerging technologies such as blockchain and AI, Maria helps RMC stay ahead of regulatory developments in a fast-changing financial landscape. Her proactive approach supports our commitment to safeguarding client data, promoting transparency, and maintaining trust in everything we do.

Adam Jagus

Adam spent 38 years in HMRC, rising to the ranks as a fully trained technical Inspector of Taxes. Adam spent his last few years in HMRC in Counter Avoidance. During his time in HMRC Adam undertook a number of Technical and Management roles covering both CT, IT and Employment Taxes. He was HMRCS Lead Technical Specialist on the Managed Service Company’s legislation. He also spent time as a Senior Technical Lead on Contractor Loan Avoidance cases. Adam has recent knowledge of leading a Tax Tribunal case as far the Supreme Court and was a Channel Litigation Lead for Counter Avoidance. One of Adam’s final roles in HMRC was as the Technical Secretariat of the Anti-Avoidance Board, where he was responsible for monitoring all HMRCS tax avoidance schemes.

Rachel Davies CTA

Rachel is a Chartered Tax Adviser with over 25 years experience in tax having trained with a big four firm in corporate tax. Since then she has worked at several small and medium sized practices at partner level (including her own small practice for several years), as well as in-house for an international hotel group, and with a private client law firm. Her more recent experience has been focused on advising owner managed businesses on both corporate and personal tax matters and she also has experience in international tax, trusts, and transaction tax including disposals and acquisitions, succession planning, corporate reorganisations and valuations for tax purposes.

Julie Jarvis CTA

Julie has over 30 years experience in mixed tax and has worked for both top 10 and smaller independent practices. She is CTA qualified, and also a full member of The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners. She has considerable experience with inheritance tax and trust planning. Julie has also worked extensively with farmers and landowners.

Farhat Khan ATT

Farhat is a tax professional with over 10 years’ experience across various areas of tax. She started her career at a boutique tax consultancy as part of a Graduate Programme and completed her ATT qualification with them. Farhat worked with clients ranging from High-net-worth individuals, owner – managed businesses to large corporates advising on CT, SDLT, property and employment taxation matters. From here she joined EY within their Global Compliance and Reporting team working within the Financial Services sector. She spent her time working with major national and international financial organisations advising on corporate taxation, including compliance, regulatory and advisory matters.
